This Spark 1/43 scale model is of the Gumpert Apollo Test Car from 2005 finished in metallic red.
Made from resin, diecast metal and other material parts it measures approximately 10cm (4 inches) in length.
Presented on a black MDF plinth under a clear acrylic top and within a cardboard slip box, the model can easily be removed from its plinth with the aid of a cross head screwdriver.
OUR OPINION:By using resin for the bodies of their models, which is quicker and cheaper to mould than diecast, Spark are able to bring us both low volume runs and unique models that other manufacturers would not even consider worth producing.Appreciated by those in the know, these Spark models really are excellent and eclipse even Minichamps for quality and detail with their very sharp castings and superb paint finishes.Our only very slight niggle is that the undersides can sometimes show excess glue and the wheels do not always turn.
