This Norev 1/43 scale model is of the Renault Clio R3 raced by Eddie Mercier and co-driver Jean-Michel Veret in the 2007 Rallye de Charbonnieres.
Made from diecast metal with other material parts it measures approximately 8.5cm (3.25 inches) in length.
Presented on a black plastic plinth under a clear acrylic top and within a cardboard window display box, the model can easily be removed from its plinth with the aid of a cross head screwdriver.
OUR OPINION: Being a French manufacturer, Norev tend to be associated with producing models of French cars, but their range goes far beyond that with some very interesting and unusual subjects. The quality of the diecast and paint finish is very good indeed and judging by the weight of their models they use more metal than other 1/43 model cars. However, their weakness is the plastic parts which can be lacking in precision and detail. On balance, not quite as good as Minichamps, closer to IXO quality. |
