This Minichamps 1/12 scale model is of Valentino Rossi celebrating winning his first 500cc race at Donington in 2000 on the Honda NSR 500 Nastro Azzurro.
Made from diecast metal with plastic and other material parts it measures approximately 16cm (6.5 inches) in length and features working suspension, removable fairing panels revealing the engine and rear suspension detail, plus the Valentino Rossi figurine.
Presented in a cardboard and perspex window box, the model comes complete with its own paddock stand to keep the bike upright when on display.
OUR OPINION: Minichamps are the market leaders when it comes to motorcycle models and it is easy to see why. Their attention to detail and finish is first class with nice sharp castings, good quality materials that look realistic and excellent paint and decal finishes. Most of the bike models even have brake lines and cabling for that extra bit of authenticity. As yet, there are no finer motorcycle models in the 1/12 to 1/9 scale ranges. |
